[origin: EP0891846A2] The machine has truncated cone-shaped machining discs (2) with implements (15) positioned along at least one spiral on the outer surface. The implements have radially pointing blades (16) at right-angles to slitting edges. The discs contain passages next to the implements for removing the volume of wood machined from the round wood (4) to form the beams.
