[origin: EP0891929A2] The security strip (12) on the lower edge (13) of the screw-cap (10) grips under an annular ridge round the mouth of the container. A retainer (16) on the inside slides over the ridge and locks under the ridge when the cap is made in its final position. The security strip is divided into a first peripheral part (14) joined to the cap by a nominal fracture point (17) sloping in relation to the vertical (18). There is a second matching part (15) which can be torn away from the cap.
