[origin: EP0892038A1] Lubricant composition comprises: (a) an oil (mixture) of one or more ester(s) of aromatic tri- or tetra-carboxylic acids with an alcohol of mixture of alcohols of formula: CnH2n+1OH (where n = 7-22) and/or one or more ester(s) of trimethylolpropane, pentaerythritol or dipentaerythritol with aliphatic carboxylic acids of formula: CnH2n+1COOH (where n = 6-21); (b) a thickener consisting of di- and/or poly-urea; and (c) an anti-wear additive consisting of a mixture of triarylphosphorothionate, alkyl (8-20C) amino- (mono,di)-hexyl-phosphate and alkyl (1-8C) amino- iso-butyl-phosphate. Production of the composition is also claimed and comprises mixing the components of (c) with a part of the oil (mixture) below 80 degrees C, adding a mixture of (b) with the remainder of the oil (mixture), and homogenising.
