Abstract (en)
A safety rope for mountain climbing has a core which consists of several core ropes (2). The core encases ≥ 1 hollow space (3) which extends over the whole length of the rope (1) and is filled by means of an elastic filling the body or filling material. The covering (4) encasing the rope core features a protective layer (5) which cannot be penetrated by dirt particles and consists of, e.g. silicone elastomer or polyurethane. The covering (4) is made, in part at least, of cut-resistant material, e.g. Dyneema (RTM) or Kevlar (RTM).

Das Sicherheits-Bergseil (1) weist einen aus mehreren Kernseilen (2) bestehenden Seilkern auf. Zur Verbesserung der Reissfestigkeit dieses Seils (1) umschliesst der Seilkern schlauchartig mindestens einen über die gesamte Länge des Seiles (1) sich erstreckenden Hohlraum (3). Der letztere ist dabei mittels mindestens eines mindestens in radialer Richtung des Seiles (1) gesehen gummielastischen Füllmaterials oder -körpers ausgefüllt, welcher z.B. beim Ziehen des Seils (1) über eine Kante und unter starker Zugkraft eine beachtliche momentane Abplattung des Seilquerschnitts beim Ziehen über die Kante und damit eine erheblich breitere Abstützung dieses Seils (1) an einer solchen Kante bewirkt. <IMAGE>
