[origin: EP0892117A1] The cistern (2) of a toilet is provided with an outlet fitting (1) having a valve (4) which can be actuated by a valve body (5) for a full or partial flush. A first buoyancy body (11) is located in a float housing (8) within the system and is prevented from rising up during a partial flush by being retained in the housing by magnetic force. A second buoyancy body (12) is provided and an actuating device for lifting the valve body to initiate a full or partial flush as required. During the full flush the body is supported by at least the first buoyancy body but only by the second body during a partial flush. Magnetic parts (16,17) are provided on the bottom (15) of the float housing and underneath the first buoyancy body.
