[origin: EP0892127A1] The device forms predetermined cracking points on concrete components (2), and has an insert (8,8a,8b) which creates a reduction in the component cross section, and which is not permeable to concrete. The insert is arranged on a shuttering wall (3,3a,3b) which extends mainly across the cross section of the component, and which is made from a perforated material. The perforated wall is covered by the insert in a region (A) which corresponds to the required reduction of the cross section. The device may also be in the form of an element for shuttering a boundary surface between two concrete sections which are to be cast one after the other.
