[origin: EP0892140A2] The buffer arrangement is placed on one of the two components, e.g. the bonnet or tailgate. The initial tension between the two components is adjusted by a stop-piece (6) in the form of a washer for the buffer-head (5). The stop-piece has a thickness and or elasticity selected according to the required pre-tension, and is inserted between the buffer head and the other component (8). The buffer arrangement (4) is detachably fixed to the one component (1) by an insertion hole (3) and a bayonet attachment (17) before being automatically adjusted to the gap between the two components.
