Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19730577C1] The tuning element has an outer sleeve 1 that fits into a hole in the wall 2 of the waveguide, and can be fixed by welding or can be threaded. Set into the sleeve is a bush 3 and within this is a threaded 8 pin 5 that can be moved axially to provide the tuning action. The sleeve is of a material, such as brass, that has a greater thermal expansion coefficient than that of the inner bush. The pin is also made of this material. This provides a temperature compensating action.
Abstract (de)
<IMAGE>
