[origin: DE19730484C1] A circuit board zero insertion force (ZIF) plug connector including a housing (10) and two connector halves (11,12) located in the housing and hingeable towards and away from one another, in which the connector halves in an assembled position in which they are hinged away from one another, allow insertion of one of the circuit boards (2,3) to be joined together, and in a connection position in which they are hinged towards one another they contact the plugged-in circuit board (2). Each of the connector halves consists of a number of connector half modules (110-1,110-2) arranged next to one another in a row, and to form the connector halves the connector-half modules arranged next to one another in a row are made identical.
