[origin: WO9822198A1] The invention relates to a device for filtering a fluid, and is characterised by: a housing consisting of two components (1a, 1b) which are firmly connected but spaced apart from each other. The first component (1a) has an inflow canal (6) for the fluid that is to be filtered, and the second component (1b) has an outflow canal (18) for filtered fluid; a piston (4) which is movably accommodated in the housing and has a front valve (7), a filter (9), a valve (10) and a rear valve (11). The filter is placed after the front valve and before the rear valve, and the valve body has a collecting channel (13) for filtered fluid that is in connection with the filter and with a filtrate zone (14), which is included in the second component (1b) of the housing and connects to the outflow canal (18). By moving the piston (4), the part of the piston which bears the filter (9) can be brought between both components of the housing. The housing and the piston are so designed that the inflow canal (6) and the outflow canal (18) can be closed when the piston part that bears the filter is positioned between the two components of the housing.
