Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19705857A1] In order to improve the sealing properties of two interconnected drive pipes (101, 102) and to achieve positive-fit locking, the invention provides two compatible, esentially L-shaped receiving recesses (115, 119, 122, 129) located one behind the other in a socket end and on a spigot end (111, 120). A receiving recess (122) on the spigot end has a receiving surface (123) in which there is a seal-accomodating groove (130) with a built-in sealing ring (131). Located between the first and second socket end recesses (115, 119) is at least one, at least partially encompassing sliding block (114). Its beveled gliding plane (116) is used for driving on to the anchor block (124) of the spigot end. When the spigot end is pushed into the socket end, the sliding block (114) slides onto the anchor block (124) and comes to rest on the bevel (126.1) of the sliding surface (126) which is sloped at around 45 DEG in the bottom area of its rounded-off sliding face (114). The seal pressing area (113) is raised up so far that it slides over a sealing ring (131) placed in the seal accomodating groove (130) without pushing it out of the groove or damaging it. When pushed in further, the sliding block (114) slides over the sliding plane (126.2) and engages in the sliding recess (128) located behind the anchor block (124) in the receiving end.
