Abstract (en)
The procedure is for cutting up round cheeses into portions for packaging. It involves first cutting each cheese diametrically into two halves (2), rotating them so they face in the same direction, and then transferring each half to a portion cutter (9) which rotates the half cheese horizontally in steps so that it is cut into equal portions. The machine used for the procedure consists of a conveyor (1) which takes the cheeses from a storage point to a cutting zone where they are first cut in half across the direction of the travel of the conveyor. The halves are then rotated through 90 degrees so that their cut sides face the same way on the conveyor, and then transferred to the portion cutter with fixed (11) and mobile radial (12) blades. Each mobile blade is equipped with an ejector to deliver each cut portion onto an output conveyor to take it to a weighing and packaging unit.

Ce procédé pour effectuer la découpe de meules de fromages consiste : dans un premier temps, à découper lesdites meules par moitié, sensiblement selon leur diamètre ; puis à acheminer les demi-meules (2) ainsi obtenues au niveau d'une portionneuse (9) ; à maintenir au niveau de ladite portionneuse (9) la demi-meule (2) dans un plan horizontal et à assurer sa rotation pas à pas d'une valeur déterminée ; puis à réaliser simultanément d'une part, la découpe du coeur de la demi-meule et d'autre part, la découpe radiale de la couronne ainsi formée, de telle sorte à définir des portions radiales sensiblement d'égale épaisseur ; et enfin à évacuer les portions ainsi réalisées. L'invention concerne également l'installation et le dispositif destinés à mettre en oeuvre ce procédé. <IMAGE>
