Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0893252A2] The dancing roller arrangement with lever arm (40) and guided along parallel rails is positioned between the draw rollers (6,7) forming an outlet-gap at the outlet to the cooler unit (2-6), and the draw rollers (9) forming an entry gap at the entry to the longitudinal cutter unit. The web is in contact with one dancing roller (20). A control unit (90) connected to the dancing roller detects any change in the dancing roller's position, and regulates the rotary speed of one of the drawing rollers. A position-sensor (60) sends a deviation-signal to the control unit giving the distance between the momentary and neutral position of the dancing roller. A force-equaliser in the form of an air cylinder (30) exerts force on the dancing roller.
