[origin: EP0893253A1] The cleaner has a compressed air pipe (1) possessing air-outlets with a diameter of 2 - 4, preferably 2.5 -3, millimetres and pointing towards the conveyor web carrying the printing carrier. The air outlets extend at right angles to the direction of travel of the printing carrier. The compressed-air pipe is positioned in the middle inside a slot-shaped nozzle (2) connected to a vacuum fan (10). Part-slots are positioned on both sides of the compressed air pipe. The slot-shaped nozzle including the width of the compressed air pipe has a total width of 15 to 25 millimetres. the air outlets are spaced apart by 7 -15, preferably 8 -10, millimetres.
