Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0893339A1] At one end of the boat hook is a clamp (5) with two jaws (6,7) the ends of which are resiliently supported against each other. One jaw (6) comprises a guide for an end folded portion of the rope so that it is held in position by clamping between the jaws. The rope free end extends between the jaws during engagement of the clamp on the anchoring part. The other jaw (7) is anchored by wedging the end of the rope during disengagement of the clamp from the mooring part.
