[origin: EP0893566A2] The window (1) has a wooden frame (2), and at least one swinging casement (3) which is glazed (4). The casement has a wooden frame (31) and a facing (32) which provides weather protection. The facing is made from wood, and is coupled to the casement frame in a manner which also allows it to be removed. The facing of the casement and/or that (22) on the fixed frame may be made from a weather-resistant wooden material, such as teak, which may also be the same material which is used for the fixed frame body (21) and/or the casement frame.
