[origin: EP0893571A2] The device controls a drill string, having a surrounding outer string with an eccentric guide engaging the drill string at the drill head-facing end. It comprises a control housing (4) which has a guide groove (5) for engaging a guide pin (6) and that is eccentrically and rotatably mounted in the outer string (3) such that drill string (1) guidance is altered by axial displacement of the outer string.
