Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0893651A1] The burner consists of a duct and a central feed port (4) with an inner flame stabiliser (5) and a secondary air feed port (13) situated outside a liquid fuel injector (8) and a primary air feed. The burner also incorporates a circuit for recirculating the fumes from the firebox (2) using the draught of the secondary air feed and reinjecting into the firebox through orifices (9) used for injecting the gas fuel and situated in a ring round the flame stabiliser. The injection orifices for the liquid and gas fuels and primary air feed open into a cavity (6) set inside a refractory wall (3) surrounding it and containing the secondary air feed ports. In addition, the liquid fuel injection system has multiple orifices to create a series of separate flames inside the firebox.
