The cable comprises an inner conductor (1), an isolation (4) which encloses the inner conductor (1), and an outer conductor including several, elongated elements (2), proceeding in a longitudinal direction of the cable, which rest on the isolation of the cable. A wrapping layer (3) sits close to the elements of the outer conductor and on the isolation, and encloses them. The cross-section of the surface (6) of the isolation, vertical to the longitudinal direction of the cable, forms a polygon, and the wrapping layer rests on the corners (7) of the polygon. The elements and the wrapping layer are preferably electrically conductive and are in contact with each other.

Vorgeschlagen wird ein Kabel, insbesondere ein Koaxialkabel, mit einem Innenleiter (1), einer Isolierung (4), die den Innenleiter (1) umschließt, einem Außenleiter, der mehrere, langgestreckte, im wesentlichen in Kabellängsrichtung verlaufende Elemente (2) umfaßt, die auf der Isolierung (4) aufliegen, sowie mit einer Hüllschicht (3), welche an den Elementen (2) des Außenleiters und an der Isolierung (4) anliegt und sie umschließt, wobei der Querschnitt der Oberfläche (6) der Isolierung (4) senkrecht zur Längsrichtung des Kabels ein Polygon ist und die Hüllschicht (3) an den Ecken (7) des Polygons anliegt. <IMAGE>
