[origin: WO9736533A1] The invention relates to an electrical vacuum cleaner (1) with an electric motor, a filter bag cavity (FA) and a work air duct (15). The electric motor drives a fan which has a suction side (S) and a compressed air side (DL), the suction side (S) being connected to the air duct (15) when air is directly blown-off into the atmosphere. In order to improve the design of an electrical vacuum cleaner, particularly as regards possible applications, it is proposed that the compressed air side (DL) should be connectable to the work air duct (15) when the suction side (S) is directly exposed to the atmosphere.
