A fibre web, formed from a fibre suspension, is encapsulated between two porous belts, downstream from a first suspended conversion stage, and is carried between equal pressure water extraction units for removing water from the suspension using water extraction pressure generally free of pulsations. Also claimed is an assembly with equal pressure water extraction units (15,16), between which two porous belts, carrying an enclosed fibre web, pass, and positioned downstream from initial water extraction units (3,6). At least one static or rotating unit (15) is positioned at one belt (S2), and another unit (16) is pliably pressed with a selected variable force, against the other porous belt (S1).

Eine Vorrichtung zum Bilden einer dicken Papier- oder Kartonbahn hat zwei endlose Siebbänder (S1, S2); diese bilden miteinander eine Doppelbandzone zur Aufnahme eines Suspensionsstromes und zum Bilden der Bahn durch Entfernen von Suspensionsflüssigkeit durch die beiden Bänder hindurch. Im Anfangsbereich der Doppelbandzone sind an der Innenseite jedes der beiden endlosen Bänder Formierelemente (3.6) vorgesehen, die sich quer zur Bahnlaufrichtung erstrecken. Stromabwärts von den Formierelementen (3,6) sind sogenannte Gleichdruck-Entwässerungselemente vorgesehen, die als Platten (15, 16) oder als Plattensegmente ausgebildet sind. <IMAGE>
