[origin: EP0894894A2] A fibre web, formed from a fibre suspension, is encapsulated between two porous belts, downstream from a first suspended conversion stage, and is carried between equal pressure water extraction units for removing water from the suspension using water extraction pressure generally free of pulsations. Also claimed is an assembly with equal pressure water extraction units (15,16), between which two porous belts, carrying an enclosed fibre web, pass, and positioned downstream from initial water extraction units (3,6). At least one static or rotating unit (15) is positioned at one belt (S2), and another unit (16) is pliably pressed with a selected variable force, against the other porous belt (S1).
