Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft lasermarkierbare Papiere und Kartonagen, die sich dadurch auszeichnen, daß sie als Absorptionsmittel und Kohlenstoffbildner mikrovermahlene Kunststoffe bestehend aus linearen aromatischen Polyestern und/oder linearen Polyarylenen mit einer Teilchengröße von 0,1-100 µm enthalten.
