[origin: EP0894921A1] The lock comprises a flat housing (2) fitted into the edge of the French window surround and contains a sliding catch (6) with a shank (9) and drive tip (10) actuated by a control member (13) which holds the catch in its extended position when at rest. The lock incorporates a stop (R) for the control member (13) in its rest position, designed so that when the stop is retracted the prismatic tip (7) of the catch is able to project entirely from the lock casing. In addition, the connection (34) between the control member (13) and drive tip (10) is designed to free the tip when the catch is rotated about the axis of its shank
