Abstract (en)
[origin: US6203231B1] A fastening plate for fastening a hinge arm to a supporting wall of a piece of furniture includes two oblong holes on an common centerline through which fastening screws engage. One fastening screw is supported with its head on a spacer element having a height greater than that of the fastening plate, and another fastening screw braces the fastening plate against the supporting wall. The height of the spacer element is greater than that of the fastening plate so that a slight amount of play is provided between the head of the fastening screw supported on the spacer element and the surface of the fastening plate, so that the fastening plate can be moved for adjustment while any undesired lifting of the fastening plate is prevented.
