Abstract (en)

The metal reflector of the heater is positioned about the heating element in such a way that the aperture of the heater is out of direct illumination from the element. Any radiant heat passing out of the aperture has been reflected off the reflector at least once, thereby reducing the light intensity. The heating element is a high temperature metal filament, eg. tungsten, sheathed inside a quartz envelope. The reflector is aluminium with an anodised reflecting surface. At least part of the anodised layer is black and has a reflection coefficient of less than 10 percent for wavelengths of 0.4 to 0.7 microns and a reflection coefficient of more than 90 percent for wavelengths of 1 to 2.5 microns.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Strahlungsheizgerät mit einem Gehäuse (10), mit im Gehäuse angeordneten Reflektoren (11) und mit einem den Reflektoren zugeordneten Hochtemperatur-Heizstrahler (15). Um mit wenig Aufwand ein gegen mechanische Beschädigungen geschütztes Strahlungsheizgerät zu schaffen, bei dem die Lichtdämpfüng verbessert und damit die Blendung verringert ist, wird gemäß der Erfindung vorgeschlagen, daß der Hochtemperarur-Heizstrahler (15), die Reflektoren (11) und die Auslaßöffnung (17) so angeordnet sind, daß alle von dem Hochtemperatur-Heizstrahler (15) ausgehenden Strahlen (20a, b) mindestens einmal an einer schwarzen Eloxalschicht (14b) reflektiert werden, bevor sie die Auslaßöffnung (17) verlassen. <IMAGE>
