[origin: EP0895199A2] The speedometer (1) is supplied with an IC card reader (2) and printing appts. (3). It is connected via an interface to a data bus (4), e.g. CAN bus. Data read by the card reader is transmitted to a further appts. connected to the data bus and data is transmitted from a connected appts. to the card reader and/or printer. The data is then written to a card in the reader and is printed.
