Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0895250A1] The shielding container (1) for spent fuel elements form nuclear power plants consists of side and bottom walls (3, 4) and at least one lid (5) with at least one closable bore (8), and is provided with a number of individual places for spent fuel elements in its interior. The container inner space (6) accommodates at least one residual moisture adsorber (9) with a molecular screen (10). The moisture adsorber is located vertically below the bore in the container lid.
