[origin: EP0895255A2] The cable bundle wrapping machine is formed from a frame (11) in the shape of a cylindrical drum, open at one end. The drives are mounted on the exterior of the closed end of the drum, while the inside of the drum carries a mechanism to deliver impulses to a disc (16) which carries several rolls of insulating tape. The open end of the drum forms the front of the unit, and has a translucent protector (18) fitted with a diametric slide which sets two working positions. The drive is provided by a pneumatic motor (30) placed inside the body of the unit. A hand grip (12) extends from the front of the unit, and a control switch (14) is at the inner end of the hand grip.
