Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0895438A2] The network interface allows useful signals to be transferred to and from the communications network and a network subscriber via a four-wire interface circuit with two identical electronic choke pairs (T1,T2;T4,T5), coupled via similar resistors (R2,R4;R5,R6) to the emitters of a symmetrical current supply inserted in the interface circuit. The supply circuit is protected from short-term overcurrents by a current limitation element (T3) and from long-term overcurrents via a cut-out device (T7,T8) with a time- controlled supply connection switch (T9) coupled to the bases of the transistors of the throttle pairs. T he required transmission level along the wires (1a,1b;2a,2b) is obtained by an active line driver (LT).
