[origin: WO9829892A1] A method of removing dust from a shadow mask (S) includes the steps of feeding the shadow mask to a dust removal position, removing dust adhered to the shadow mask, and delivering the dedusted shadow mask to a next process. The freeing from dust is made by a dust removal tape (3) having a contact side with a gummed coating. The dust is removed from both sides of the shadow mask from the inside and from the outside, and at the same time the shadow mask is supported by a balloon.
