Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0896829A2] The cooling method involves using a supply container (8) holding a cooling medium, e.g. an inert gas, under pressure. The pressurised cooling medium is injected into the vehicle interior space (12). This injection occurs when an upper temperature threshold is exceeded, e.g. via a thermostat valve (9). The interior space is vented to a convection space (5) between the vehicle and an outer heat shield (4) via an adjustable venting valve (14).
