[origin: EP0896860A2] The grindstone (1) is cylindrical in shape. It has at least one groove (4). This groove runs basically in the circumferential direction. The angle (W) between the groove and the circumferential direction is less than 45 degrees. The angle and the width of the grindstone are so measured in the axial direction that the groove extends over at least one full circumference of the grindstone, and may do so several times in the form of a spiral.
