This invention concerns the packaging of continuous fan folded documents, specifically pre-printed cards which are to be inserted in for example magazines which are themselves being produced on a continuous basis. The cards are grouped in stacks, and each stack is packed in a sleeve to form an assembly. The assemblies are continuously produced, and are connected to each other by the cards, so that in fact the cards remain continuous from assembly to assembly. The invention concerns a method of putting the assemblies into side by side rows to form a large body, so that throughout the body, all of the cards remain continuously connected, and all of the cards can be run off from the assemblies to a processing machine where they are put into magazines or the like. <IMAGE>
