[origin: EP0897753A2] The device comprises a housing (1) containing the fluid (3) and having an insert slit (11) and exit slit (12) parallel to each other and set at the same height above the fluid level on two opposite faces of the housing. Two rollers (4,6) parallel to the insert and exit slits are arranged so that the first roller (4) rotates freely about its axis (5) which is set below the plane of the slits so that the upper area of the first roller comes into contact with the object (15) when it is inserted in the housing and the lower area of the first roller dips into the fluid. The second roller (6) is freely rotatable about its axis (8) and is connected to a guide element (9) which has a spring (10) moving the second roller towards the fluid. The second roller, guide element and spring can swivel about a swivel axis (7) above the plane of the slits. The distance between the axis (8) of the second roller and the swivel axis is so great that the second roller dips into the fluid in its lower position.
