Abstract (en)
A mechanical handling process to progressively changes the orientation of a stream of printed products e.g. magazines (29) as the flow towards a folding machine (27). The conveyor belt has a series of product catchers arranged in an endless configuration, and hooking to the print signature. The catchers may pivot (20) under load as the conveyor belt advances, such that the print signature advances to the leading corner. The catchers can be selectively prevented from pivoting to create a secondary product flow.

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Verarbeiten und Fördern eines Produktstroms, das ein in einen Falzapparat (1) laufendes Förderband (9) zum Ergreifen von Produkten (29,30) umfaßt. Das Förderband (9) umfaßt Produktgreifer (10), die darauf in einer Endloskonfiguration angeordnet sind. Mindestens einige der Greifer (10) sind selektiv um eine Achse (20) während der Bewegung des Förderbandes drehbar (9), damit die ergriffenen Signaturen (29,30) in eine Konfiguration der vorlaufenden Ecken überführt werden können. Wenn nur eine ausgewählte Gruppe von Greifern (10) gedreht wird, kann ein sekundärer Produktstrom gebildet werden. <IMAGE>
