Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0898006A2] The support frame for laundry dryers or garden shades has a star-shaped arrangement of carrying arms (2) and support arms (4) positioned round a support pipe (1). The carrying arms and support arms are flexibly joined to a star part each. The arms (2,4) are tilted between a swung-in position and an open position through shifting one of the two star parts. The second star part (5) is adjoined by an expanding unit (7) which can be engaged with the swung-in carrying arms for tilting the arms into a slightly opened position. The unit at least one expanding component (9) which is deflected outwards away from the support pipe through pulling at a string which adjoins both star parts. The component engages with the carrying arms and tilts them into the slightly opened position.
