[origin: EP0898007A2] A support frame is for a clothes dryer or a garden shade and has a support pipe (1), which is surrounded by a star-shaped arrangement of carrying arms (1) and support arms (4), which are flexibly connected to a star part each. The carrying and support arms (2,4) can be tilted between a swung-in position and a swung-out position. The carrying arms (2) are connected to the support arms (4) via swing arms(6) which are connected flexibly to each type of arm. Each swing arm located between a carrying arm and a support arm is the middle component of a three-component chain consisting of a carrying arm, support arm and a swing arm, and joins the two star parts. The extended component chains are upset in the swing arm sections in order to tilt the carrying arms into a slightly opened position.
