Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0898016A2] The cranes (18,20) are portal units with frame legs (28,30) folded together on at least one second transport vehicle. Each portal crane is fixed on the at least second transport vehicle on a lifting device (62) formed as a lifting table, raisable and lowerable by spindle drive (88). Each frame leg comprises sections (38-42) connected by a link (44,45). The frame legs are alterable as to their spacing by telescopic tubes (54), which are joined both to the main frame (26) and to the frame legs. Each frame leg at their end sides have two running wheels supporting on the auxiliary track, of which at least one is motor-driven. The portal cranes have a running crab (9), activated by a toothed rod drive.
