[origin: EP0898020A1] The settlement device comprises of compacting rollers (1,21,41) that have, at least, one receiver device for receipt of the face side of assigned coaxial extension rings (5,25,45) to increase the compaction width. The extension ring is detachably connectable from the rollers and/or friction. The receiver device may have at least one centring surface, esp. a conical surface (4a,24a,44a), for centring of the extension ring. The extension ring and/or the rollers may have overbalancing axially oriented projections (7,46) which may sit in the recesses (4c) of the rollers and/or project in the extension ring.
