[origin: EP0898029A2] The channels are so arranged on the roof or terrace that each plate on each edge drains into a channel. The system comprises main and secondary channels (10,20). The main channels in the area of the channel walls have recesses (11) for accommodation of the secondary channels. The main and secondary channels run at right-angles to each other. The recess in the main channel accommodates the secondary channel. It is so formed that the upper edge of the main channel terminates flush with the upper edge of the secondary channel. Exit channels (40) run at right-angles to the main channels. The main channels drain into the exit. The bases of the main and secondary channels are inclined. The plates (30) at their edges have drip edges and have laterally arranged distance holders.
