Abstract (en)
In order to ascend and descend the stairs safely even in the nighttime, the invention presents a stairs antiskid member (1) capable of reducing the thickness of the entire antiskid member (1), enhancing the visual recognition of stairs by light, and assuring sufficient safety when ascending and descending stairs. The member (1) accommodates and holds an illuminating plane (2) and includes a permeable light transmitting portion (11,12) at least in the front edge of front, rear and side edges, except the middle portion (1a) of the member upper surface, and a reflecting portion (3) at the luminous side of the illuminating plane (2) for radiating the light from the illuminating plane (2) through the light transmitting portion (11,12). <IMAGE>
