Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0898060A1] The oil module is in the form of a single structural unit. It consists of an oil filter (3), an oil cooler (4) and a venting system (5) with oil separator. The unit is fitted on a flange to the internal combustion engine. It may be formed from a casing (6) entirely enclosing the oil cooler, with coolant and oil inputs (7,8) and coolant output (9). The oil passes through a connector (10) to the oil filter (3) built onto the casing. The venting system comes out in the transition cross section.
