Abstract (en)
A railroad light signal fixture, either for railway/highway grade crossing application or right-of-way use, includes a housing (40 or 76), each having a signal light aperture (42). There is a lens structure (44,46 or 78,80) covering the aperture and there is a source of illumination within a housing opposite the lens structure. The source is provided using a laser (48,50,52,54,56 or 70) which provides for light within a specific colour spectrum as required for the specific application. <IMAGE>
