Abstract (en)
A dispensing system suitable for dispensing thick flowable products such as cosmetics and pharmaceutical creams. A pumping arrangement(10) is mounted through the cover(2) of a container (1). An annular follower plate(5) lies on top of the product mass in the container and follows it down as dispensing proceeds, to ensure clearance of the container. Product is drawn to the pump through feed tube(32) leading to an inlet valve(4). A single tube(3) serves the functions of the feed tube(32), the wall of the pump chamber(66) and the axial guide for the follower plate(5), through whose central opening(52) it passes. <IMAGE>
