Abstract (en)
A composition suitable for coating paper comprising: (I) a pigment, (II) an aqueous binder, and (III) a crosslinked amine compound obtainable by reacting a heterocyclic amine, e.g. piperidine, piperazine, (a) and a glycidyl compound (b) having at least two glycidyl groups; and a method for preparing the composition. The composition gives higher quality, such as high level of ink acceptability and water resistance to coated papers, and does not generate formaldehyde.
