[origin: EP0899401A2] The fastener is for a connecting rod of a door or window which is moved longitudinally along a sleeve rail by at least one clip (60a, 60b), and is open on the rail side and formed from thin sheet. A mechanism is fitted in a stepped groove (65) in the door etc. or frame rebate. The rail is seated on the groove step and the connecting rod is covered by the rail in the groove. Clips have a snap-fit attachment (61) to the rail, and a flange (67) on the clip bears on the groove step area.
