Abstract (en)
A short circuit terminal (12) has a U-shaped base section (20) formed by a base wall (24) and side walls (26,27). Spring contact arms (40) are stamped out of the base wall (24) for short circuiting a pair of terminals arranged in adjacent cavities of a connector housing. The short circuit arms are provided with prestress abutment portions (52) that engage a wall portion (54) of the housing for prestressing the contact arms. The side walls (26,27) of the base section have cutouts (71) for allowing sliding of secondary locking protrusions through the connector housing. <IMAGE>
