In a first embodiment, the cylinder head is constructed in such a way that the inlet valves (2) and the outlet valves (3) are operated by two camshafts (7, 7'), there is a number of identical actuating components (9) between the valves (2, 3) and the cams (8) of the camshafts (7, 7'), and the cams (8) of the camshafts (7, 7) allocated to the valves (2, 3) have different basic circle diameters (DG1, DG2).
