Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0900596A2] By feeding the raw material in the feed chute (4) in the direction of travel of the conveyor (2) and laying out the feed chute in a cascade-like manner in a number of steps (14), between which shower jets (5) wet the material, the clean and raw products remain separate. The plates forming each step are fitted with end plates which retain material at the rear, upper, end; the feed chute is fitted with a shaker motor (15) and an eccentrically running roller (13) agitates the conveyor band in the wash trough area (8).
